And so it begins!

Today is the day that I've decided to "go public." Okay, it's not that dramatic, but today is the day that I've decided to start publicizing my blog and Om Nom Nom (also known as OmNom or Nom for short). It's going to be a small operation, mainly spread through word of mouth through friends and family, and, for now, I'm only doing local deliveries. I'm excited. :)

The ordering menu can also be found on the top of the right hand column. I plan to do monthly specials, as well... something fit for the season, or something that's a little more exciting than the usual fair, or just a new awesome recipe that I've discovered. Keep checking back for more updates and more food porn! Please feel free to email me with any inquiries, thoughts, or comments! :)

Oh yes, and I want to thank Mike, Ben, and Adam on their input as I was getting started!

  1. There was a comment earlier (that I deleted too quickly as a knee-jerk reaction) noting that this is probably illegal, and that bakeries and kitchens have standards set by the FDA, etc. However, my response to that comment is that this is that, as I have stated before, this is a small operation. I know that if I ever wanted to open an official bakery or whatever, I would need to obtain licenses, etc. But this is not. I already bring free baked goods in to people often, sometimes more than twice a week. The only thing this helps me do is at least compensate for the cost of baking. This is nothing more than something like the bake sale that you see at the side of school yards. Also, as I have stated before, this is mainly by word-of-mouth and for people that know how this is set up.

  2. As I said, a bake sale is temporary. This is not. Bake sales have a different set of rules because they only happen once. This is on-going, and therefore more of a permanent nature, even if you are just breaking even.

    Just letting you know.

  3. Actually, this is a small-scaled temporary operation. Also, I guess it means that I'm just going to have to slap on a 10-page disclaimer stating that this is not a licensed business (nor do I intend for it to be a big business whatsoever) and that you eat products at your own risk.

  4. Looks like someone is a little too "speedy" to rain on other people's fun....

  5. Bake to your heart's content Edith! Don't let others bring you down. It's not worth your time.
